Students also have the opportunity to select 2 electives each year. Mount Carmel offers a wide range of elective subjects including:

Mount Carmel aims to provide an extensive curriculum for students in Years 11 and 12, where the pursuit of each and every student’s personal potential can be realised.  This includes providing subjects to meet the prerequisites for a broad range of University Courses, as well as meeting the needs of those students who would prefer other pathways after school including TAFE, Private Colleges or direct entry into the workforce.

Each student’s spiritual life is developed through participation in our compulsory Religious Education program that is an integral component of the spiritual dimension of the School.

Core Curriculum

Choice of English Standard, English Advanced or English Studies.

Students also have the opportunity to study VET subjects at school.

VET Electives - Construction, Hospitality Operations, Sport Coaching, Retail Services, Business Services, Information Techology.
TVET Electives - Mount Carmel has many students that study subjects at TAFE as part of the HSC pattern of study.
