Mount Carmel Catholic College is both a systemic school in the Wollongong Diocese and a College based on the its proud Marist tradition. The College has students from Years 7 to 12 and is both coeducational and comprehensive by nature. The College serves the parishes of Campbelltown, Eagle Vale, Ingleburn, Macquarie Fields, Ruse and Varroville. The College currently has a student population of 1042 and approximately 90 members of staff. Mount Carmel also has a strong relationship with the Carmelites, on whose land the school is located in Varroville.
Students at Mount Carmel are constantly encouraged to be "Mount Carmel people", exhibiting the qualities of our Marist founder, Saint Marcellin Champagnat. Marcellin himself provided a faith-based education to youth - an education in which Jesus and the Gospel messages are central. Mount Carmel continues to courage a Marcellin inspired, Christ centred philosophy and this is echoed in our desire to assist students to be the best that they can be - living out the College's Motto: Ite in Veritate ("To walk in Truth").
